Founded in Montreal in 2002, Altra Foods Inc is an impoerter and distributor of Kosher food in Canada.

Job brief:

We are looking for an effective and experienced Warehouse Manager to direct receiving, warehousing and distribution operations. You will oversee the efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of a wide variety of Kosher food products. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly.

Job Description:

Experience in monitoring and verifying quality control procedures in warehouse management.
Optimizes use of staff by assigning and rebalancing employees workloads among warehouse departments (inbound, outbound, replenishment, cycle counting, etc.);
Responsible for warehouse staff recruiting, training, development (measuring/reporting, feedback/coaching, discipline).
Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; managing expenditures;
Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
Ensures inventory accuracy by establishing and monitoring count procedures and results analysis.
Produce reports and statistics regularly
Liaise with departments, suppliers and transport companies
Experienced in managing ERP SAP and WMS Systems.
Reports to VP Finance/Operations.
Requirements:

Experience in warehouse management procedures and best practices
Knowledge and experience in managing Bin Locations in the food industry
Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Strong experience with warehouse management software and databases
Strong analytical, decision making and problem solving skills
Experience – supply chain management, logistics and Food Distribution .
Excellent communication skills
Knowledge of Kosher food an asset
