Cuisinier(ère) et Barista / Cook & Barista

Fletchers Espace Culinaire – un café and espace culinaire qui offre des mets inspirés de la diverse communauté juive montréalaise et qui souhaite raconter les histoires derrière chaque plat servi. Fletchers Espace Culinaire est situé au Musée du Montréal juif (MMJ), un organisme à but non lucratif qui rassemble, cartographie et partage l’histoire et les expériences de la communauté juive de Montréal.

Fletchers est à la recherche d’une personne motivée et gourmande pour aider à la préparation des mets et des cafés, accueillir les clients et ouvrir et fermer le café. Il y a également la possibilité d’aider avec la programmation culinaire du Musée.

Descriptiondu poste :
• Aider à l’achat des ingrédients et à la préparation hebdomadaire;
• Accueillir chaleureusement les clients, prendre leur commande et répondre à leurs questions;
• Préparer les plats et les boissons pour les clients;
• Ouvrir et fermer le café;
• Contribuer à la programmation culinaire de Fletchers et du Musée, au besoin.

À noter : la semaine de travail est du mardi au dimanche.

Le/la candidat(e) idéal(e) possède de bonnes compétences relationnelles et de l’expérience en restauration, apprend rapidement et a le sens des priorités et un intérêt pour l’histoire culinaire et la culture juive. La maîtrise du français et de l’anglais (parlé seulement) est requise.

Fletchers Espace Culinaire – a café and food space that serves food inspired by Montreal’s diverse Jewish community and aims to teach people about the stories and history behind each dish being served. Fletchers Espace Culinaire is located in the Museum of Jewish Montreal’s (MJM) space in the Plateau – MJM is a not for profit organization that collects, maps, and shares the history and experiences of the Montreal Jewish community.

Fletchers is looking for motivated and food loving individuals to help cook, make coffee, serve customers, open and close the café. There will be the possibility of helping out with other food programming happening at the Museum.

Job Description:
• Helping with weekly food shopping and prep
• Greeting customers, taking their orders and answering any questions they have to make
them feel welcome in the café
• Preparing food and coffee for customers
• Opening and closing the café
• Potentially helping with other food programming happening in the space

Note: the workweek is from Tuesday to Sunday.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional interpersonal skills, experience working in the food industry, the ability to learn quickly and multitask effectively while working independently and an interest in Jewish food history and culture. Oral proficiency in English and French is required.
