Part time Book keeper to work from home

Brand new construction and maintenance company started by 2 experienced and successful entrepreneurs needs a part-time bookkeeper. The person should be comfortable working from home, setting up books, filing system, managing government reporting, small payroll, banking, and also some budget forecasting and analysis. Our company is specialized in the design, maintenance and restoration of log homes and structures, and our activities are mostly in the Laurentians. The two founders have the organizational skills of a styrofoam cup, so we are looking for someone keen to help us keep organized so we can focus on customer satisfaction, sales growth and a prosperous, fun future in log building.
Job Description:
• Complete bookkeeping cycle, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and verify that the books are balanced by the fiscal year’s end
• Accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing and collection
• Bank reconciliations, reconciliations of accounts and make appropriate journal entries
• Complete payroll cycle and know the standards
• Preparation of bank deposits
• Prepare government reports (eg DAS, GST, QST, CSST, etc.)
Applicants must have the following prerequisites:
• AEC, DEP or DEC in accounting or equivalent
