office administrator – admin/office

I am a small business, which started 20 years ago with 1 client and I’m currently at 55. I have 1 part time and 1 full time employee. My business provides doctors in Quebec a billing service which allows them to get paid by RAMQ. The work requires precise attention to detail, and logical thinking. There are many rules and regulations which must be remembered, written down, and followed with due diligence. Client interaction is required on a daily basis and RAMQ contact is on a ‘as needed’ basis in French. Bilingual language skills are an absolute necessity. My full time employee is taking maternity leave for 1 year. This job is for 1 year approx, but could lead to permanent position.

Job description:
– Inputting billing data on computer using specialized software;
– Troubleshooting technical problems with respect to hardware and software;
– Corresponding with clientele verbally and in writing;
– Handling client queries;
– Research and distribute information;
– Perform general clerical duties to include, but not limited to, bookkeeping, copying, faxing, mailing and filing.

Skills required:
– Good analytical and problem solving skills;
– Self-motivated and independent;
– Comfortable with routine and detailed work that is deadline sensitive;
– Candidate must be comfortable working with computers;
– Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite;
– Candidate must be efficient and organized;
– Candidate must be bilingual: spoken and written;
– Experience in the medical field will be considered a huge asset.

37.5 hours per week.

Remuneration based on experience:
Training 6 months: $12-16/hr
Post-training: $16-18/hr
Job review 3 months after start.
