garde manger/ dishwasher – food/beverage/hospitality

We are a small but tight-knit team at a cozy bistro right next to Charlevoix metro. We proudly run a young and dynamic kitchen, which dedicates itself to developing an ever-evolving menu that celebrates seasonal ingredients. We are in search of a like-minded individual to join us.

Expected tasks and responsibilities for cook/garde manger:

Preparation and assembly of plates.
Proper opening and closing of the kitchen.
Maintaining kitchen cleanliness.
Multitasking.
Teamwork between coworkers.
Fostering a positive environment.
Consistent note-taking.
Ability to work independently and to take initiative.
Basic understanding of knife skills.
Attention to detail.

As for a dishwasher we are looking for someone who is motivated, eager to learn, and adaptable. We are a small team and therefore work together closely and share many responsibilities. We do not require you to have any experience! We enjoying teaching and pass along our experiences. This position would be perfect as a first time job.

You must be available to work every Friday and Saturday evening beginning at 6:00pm and can finish as late as 2am. There are often other shifts and on-call shifts that become available during peak times of the year or for special events so an fairly open availability is a must.
