Morning Catering Chef – food/beverage/hospitality

Looking for Catering Chef to working various early morning shifts (5:30-2:30), (6-3), (8-5) (9-6). You will not get to chose which shifts you want to work, but must be available to work the above shifts, depending of the needs of our clients. Shifts will vary from day to day but you will be notified one day in advance as client orders come in. On average morning shifts begin at 8:00 am Must be able to arrive to work independent of the Metro/public transportation due to early morning shifts. There is room for advancement in this position for the right candidate who can also exhibit kitchen and time management skills. (Weekly hours will be between 32-44 hours), during busy and peak season these hours can increase to 40-50 hours/week. This job is located Ville Marie near the border of Mercier/Hochelaga

Must be available to work weekends as required, (this is not solely a Monday- Friday job)

Salary $14-$16 hr depending on experience

3 years kitchen experience – production kitchen is an asset

Culinary Tools (knives)
Well groomed, professional, self-appearance is mandatory, with clean uniform, Chef jacket, Chef pants, non slip shoes, apron and hat.
Communication is in English and French but bilingualism is not require, however comprehension of both is an asset

Job Description:

This job varies from day to day depending of the orders from clients. On average, morning orders consist of:

Viennosseries, fruit brochettes, yogurts with granola, breakfast sandwiches, mini muffins and Tea and Coffee. All pastries and muffins are cooked fresh every morning for delivery, You must possess knowledge of how to cook pastries, and muffins and prepare for delivery. Lunch deliveries can consist of lunchboxes with salads, sandwiches, hot meals varying from lasagna to Osso Bussco, lamb shanks, grilled vegetables.
